Nexxus are a support organisation for West Of Scotland organisations in the Life Sciences sector. Initially funded by Scottish Enterprise, University of Glasgow and Glasgow City Council, Nexxus operates to provide support to collaboration and communication between companies and organisations operating in the sector, as well as helping to raise the profile of the West of Scotland as an area for world class research.

Requirements

Nexxus had been using a home grown contact database for the management of their contacts and events. While this had been suitable initially, a solution was required that would scale to accommodate more users at remote locations.
X402 developed a web based contact management system that allows for access by the Nexxus staff from any location with Internet access. The system allows for the recording of contacts & organisations and the numerous activities that Nexxus engaged in. Additionally the system developed by X402 allows for attendee management for the business development events that Nexxus organise.
While the system provides for the recording of the information, there is also facilities for custom querying of the data from the system in addition to specific reporting and aggregation of recorded data.
