X402 deliver REL Group with 'realtime' web based intranet

Renfrewshire Electronics Ltd (REL) are a supply chain management organisation who offer a highly impressive skill set that also includes kitting, assembly, repair & debug and product refurbishment.

Operating in the dynamic logistics & fulfilment market which is always progressing and changing as new technology is developed requires REL to keep pace and provide clients with solutions that are based around service, reliability and quality. To continue to provide leading edge client service REL constantly review their internal business processes and this is where X402 Limited were called in to assist.

REL were looking at taking several of their current systems which were beginning to slow their operation and combine them into a single web based Intranet which would allow the appropriate staff to get access to the required information in realtime. X402 consulted with REL to fully understand the brief and to understand the intricacies of the businesses processes surrounding this project. The outcome was a solution which is built around sever technology and successfully combined several of the business processes making this part of the operation faster and more efficient.

The final solution developed by X402 was a web based Intranet which interacts with REL's projected forecasts as well as the accounting system and generates on a daily basis the required information for REL's buyers. This has helped give REL more control over their data and allows historical recording on a daily basis (was previously only a weekly basis) of the company's buying requirements. This project has also provided REL with a framework which they intend to use to redevelop more of their current system onto.
